Despite the gas increase (obviously I am very much affected), I am happy.
Despite the lack of moolah (there are so many expenses the wage ain’t enough), I am happy.
Despite the weight problem I have right now (always been a problem), I am happy.
Despite the attack of these stupid zits (very stupid and worthless), I am happy.
Despite the unbearable back ache I have (it’s so painful, I want to break my bones, seriously), I am happy.
Despite the stress coming from my 9AM - 9PM job, I am happy.
Despite the frustration of knowing you are one meter away from being a homo (metrong homo), I am happy.
Despite the unexpected betrayal from a very close friend (talk about it some other time), I am happy.
Despite all of these and others, I am happy.

I am happy. I am sure. I am steady.
And I know, I am a hard woman.

CAN I JUST DIE? Finally! When Jeng and I said that we'll watch Urbandub this summer e mapapanuod nga namin (along with Bubi)! Never thought that it'll be true! Parati na lang sa CD or iPod ako nakikisabay kumanta, but hindi na! Live is so beautiful and loud! Lalay's magaling kumalabit, smooth. But Gabby.. Gabby was the best. Nakakatunaw na scar (lovin' scarfaced guys hahaha!). Nakakatunaw na dimple (lovin' guys with dimples too hahaha!). Nakakatunaw kumanta. Each Urbandub gig is a must-see gig. Great music from a great band.

Guess what keeps playin' on my mind?

This is so unbelievable! As of May 09 2008, a liter of Super Unleaded costs Php 50.70. PHP 50.70 PER LITER! PER LITER! PER LITER! I was informed by Bubi that this week, gas price has increased four times! Ludicrous isn't?! I mean, Php 25 lang yan dati e! I am really pissed since I am affected (I drive daily, going to work). Actually, we are all affected. Once the gas price has increased, other prices will also increase. Food, pamasahe, other consumer goods etc. Way to go, economy!

I won't be surprised if one day, the price of Super Unleaded will be Php 75. Maybe Php 90 pa nga e. I just hope that one day too, someone will find an alternative for gas. Puhlease!

It feels so good to share stories and laughter with people na alam mong same kayo ng wavelength. Kumabaga, kung anong sayad niya, siya rin na sayad mo hahaha! It was nice seeing these girls. I'd be lying if I said I did not miss them.

Ayan! Sumulpot nako! Hindi nako nan-injan a, kahit wasted nako hahaha!

We'll definitely see each other pa, I just know it. I miss you Pauis and Borj!

Even if I fail ten times, I'll try the 11th time.

It is inevitable. It cannot be avoided. And if ever we can avoid it, it will just haunt us. Failure will always be a part of an individual’s journey. Whether in study, work, love or life, we all experience failure. It is sooo depressing. Negative feelings come out. You feel like the world is so against you. After trying and hoping, then trying and hoping again, a bad result is unacceptable (well, for some of us). But we have no choice but to accept wholeheartedly, because from the very start, we know that it is a possibility. It can be an outcome.

I am not a pessimistic person. In fact, I am a very hopeful person. I always find the beauty in everything. Even in unpleasant things (like failure). Napakahirap gawin yun pero nagagawa ko siya apparently. I have no idea where I got this hopeful character of mine. Well, it doesn’t matter. I am just so thankful that I am hopeful. It just makes me want to strive harder to make today better than yesterday.

Kapag mabait ka sa akin kahit 10%, magiging mabait ako sa iyo ng 30%.
Pero kapag bad ka sa akin kahit 5% lang, patay ka tomorrow.

In times like this, it's better not to listen to songs (any kind of music actually) because it'll only give thoughts that will definitely make you feel not good.

Like what a fellow blogger wrote,
when your heart is peaceful, give thanks.
when your heart is troubled, still give thanks and ask for deliverance.
when your heart is shattered into a gazillion pieces, still give thanks and ask that you learn whatever life lesson it is that He wants you to learn.
In both high and low, give thanks, because it is one of the surest things in life that God only works for the good of those who love Him.

I hope I can paint a genuine smile someday. Someday.

In life, we are taught that there are seven deadly sins. We all know the big ones. Gluttony. Pride. Lust. But the sin you don’t hear much about is Anger. Maybe it’s because we think that Anger is not that dangerous. That we can control it. My point is maybe we don’t give Anger enough credit. Maybe it can be a lot more dangerous than we think. After all, when it comes to destructive behavior, it did make the top 7.

So what makes Anger different from the 6 other deadly sins? It’s pretty simple.
You get in into a sin like Envy or Pride, then you only hurt yourself.
Try Lust or Coveting, and you’ll only hurt yourself and probably one or two others.

But Anger, it is the worst. The mother of all sins. Not only can Anger take you over the edge. When it does, you can take an awful lot of people with you.
