According to Wikipedia, Iloilo is a province located in Western Visayas and is the third largest province in WV. It occupies the southeast portion of Panay Island and is bordered by Antique to the west and Capiz to the north. Just off Iloilo's southeast coast is the island of Guimaras, once part of Iloilo but now a province in its own right. Across the Panay Gulf and Guimaras Strait is Negros Occidental. Iloilo's capital is Iloilo City.
Ilonggos, people from Iloilo, speak two local languages: Hiligaynon and Kinaray-a. But of course, they do speak Tagalog and English.
Places to see in Iloilo are mostly churches, particularly Spanish Colonial churches. All of them are very old and very beautiful. One of them, the Miagao Church, is a world heritage site.
Iloilo is also famous for its Calle Real, a street of old buildings with classic designs.
