7.31.2008 FORGIVING AND GIVING ANOTHER CHANCE.

For God-fearing individuals, we know that we have to forgive others. Even though we do not want to, we should. Because it’s implausible not to make mistakes. At some point, we are bound to commit them. And the one saving grace we want is the forgiveness we ask from The Lord and from the person/s we harmed.

But the dilemma is not whether or not we’ll forgive the person. It is if we’ll give the person another chance. Yes, forgiving and giving a chance is totally different from each other.

In some cases, we forgive and give another chance. Especially if the person admitted his/her fault (first) and asked for forgiveness. Repentance can be felt. But there are some cases we forgive but not give another chance. There are so many explanations why, but the best is that we don’t want others to abuse our kindness. Just because people can forgive doesn’t mean we can commit mistakes frantically.

I hope this is clear. I hope we can learn things we need to learn.

No, you’re not a take a bow.
You’re not even an irreplaceable.
You are a foolish.

7.29.2008 BOOK QUOTE #02: NEW MOON BY STEPHENIE MEYER.

Time Passes.
Even when it seems impossible.
Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise.
It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does.

Even for me.

7.24.2008 LOVE LETTER #01: LULAY.

Dear Lulay,

You’ll find this funny and cute. I am thinking of ways how to start this love letter. I have already used the backspace so many times I could not even count kung ilan na. In short, I am having a hard time writing a very good love letter to my best friend whom I haven’t seen for so long. I know what I want to say. I just don’t know how to say it. Naks.

The last time I saw you was when we were in 2nd year high. 3rd year high, you were nowhere to be found. At that time, I was relaxed, not knowing that you’ll never be coming back to Manila. It took me a while to realize that, My golly, Lulay’s living in San Diego! Hindi na siya babalik sa Pinas! Kano na magiging boyfriend niya!

The best thing about us is that we never let distance destroy our friendship. We try to catch up every now and then. Distance becomes nothing thanks to YM and expensive mobile calls. I know you’re working and studying; you know I’m working. You tell me your love life (both good and bad aches) and I don’t (hahaha promise, magkkwento na ako next time)! We know and love each other so much even space can’t do anything to break us.

The last time we talked, meron ka nang TFC accent, but still nakakapagsalita ng fluent tagalog. Pwede ka na magwowowee hahaha! And oh, we promised birthday gifts for each other. Birthday gifts that account for the 6 birthdays hahaha!

As promised, here it is.

Happy 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd birthday to you Lulay!

Expect these gifts in two weeks. As for me, I’ll wait for my gift ah. I’m thinking, LV? Hahaha, kiddin`! You’ll be sending me an advance one. I’m so excited. Do you still remember pa ba when’s my birthday?

It has been almost seven years since the last time we saw each other. We’d be probably counting more, but I know that someday (when peso-dollar is 1:1 hahaha), we’ll see each other. We will.

Loving you,
Lea

7.19.2008 QUOTABLE QUOTE #02: UNKNOWN.

Repeated experiences have one aim: to teach the things you refuse to learn.

A friendly reminder for all of us.

7.17.2008 THE DARK KNIGHT.

Don't be afraid to spend php180 for this movie. It's so worth it I will watch it again.

The Joker's not funny. He's creepy (in a really bad way). Whoever said ba he's funny?

Only one advice, try to watch a bit early. Perhaps 7 or 8pm, because it's a bit long. And kill your mobile muna. The movie's jampacked with scenes you don't want to miss. Trust me.

7.11.2008 GET READY ILOILO.

According to Wikipedia, Iloilo is a province located in Western Visayas and is the third largest province in WV. It occupies the southeast portion of Panay Island and is bordered by Antique to the west and Capiz to the north. Just off Iloilo's southeast coast is the island of Guimaras, once part of Iloilo but now a province in its own right. Across the Panay Gulf and Guimaras Strait is Negros Occidental. Iloilo's capital is Iloilo City.

Ilonggos, people from Iloilo, speak two local languages: Hiligaynon and Kinaray-a. But of course, they do speak Tagalog and English.

Places to see in Iloilo are mostly churches, particularly Spanish Colonial churches. All of them are very old and very beautiful. One of them, the Miagao Church, is a world heritage site.

Iloilo is also famous for its Calle Real, a street of old buildings with classic designs.

Just last month, Iloilo became a victim of Typhoon Frank. The province lost more than a billion and undetermined number of lives. Thank God because a lot of Samaritans have been donating, both in cash and in goods.

So Eunice, this is where are you going to be patapon-ed. For at least 6 months, Iloilo will be your home. For at least 6 months, you will be promdi again. For at least 6 months, mammiss ka naming girls. And lastly, for at least 6 months, you will be dry and you will miss me hahaha!

Thank you for the treat and thank me for introducing you to good Thai food.

Thank God for YM, YG and chargers. Please do not forget to charge your mobile okay. Hindi batterya ng kotse yang batterya ng mobile mo.

7.04.2008 OF WHAT IS LOST AND WHAT IS FOUND.

1. I can’t seem to find my under southern lights album. Obviously I misplaced it in my room. I checked my CD case and it’s not there. I don’t want to buy another CD because I know one day, susulpot na lang yung CD. Plus, waste of money and time to buy another. But that’s Urbandub! Damn!

2. I found out that Seaoil, a small gas company here in the Philippines, has this promotion called prepaid gas. Even if the gas price increases, if you bought prepaid worth 20 liters (for example), you’ll get 20 liters talaga. Nice! I might avail it.

3. I just lost a huge amount of money because of the freakin` Bayo sale. But it’s worth it hahaha!

4. I just found this trailer in Ace’s multiply. The trailer’s so hilarious I want to watch the whole movie. It’ll be showing on August and I’m excited. Benta yung "define darkness".

5. I lost my undeveloped films. I know. It is the digital era already. I practice digital photography din naman. But I am lately rekindling my love for film photography. I lost a lot of films. And those are the films I really want to be developed. Sayang. Pero I’ll look for it pa din. I will hahaha!

6. Lastly, I just found out (and realized), that even if you always tell yourself that you are strong, independent and hard woman, you need your friends to support you. You need them to understand your view and support your decision. It pays to have friends. It pays to have beautiful and understanding and supportive friends. Lucky me.
